Artist Profile

Jacob Kirkegaard

Born 1975 in Denmark. Based in Berlin, Kirkegaard is a graduate of the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Germany. His major solo exhibitions include: "Labyrinthitis," CosmoCaixa, Barcelona (2013), "Phantom Bell," Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, Montevideo, Uruguay (2011) and "Hotel Marienbad 008: Jacob Kirkegaard House of Mare," Kunst-Werke Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2010). He has also participated in a number of group exhibitions including "ARCTIC," Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk, Denmark (2013-2014), "Soundings: A Contemporary Score," Museum of Modern Art, New York (2013), "Silence," Menil Collection, Texas (2012) and University of California, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, California (2013), Aichi Triennale 2010.
