Welcome to “the portal to the universe”!
―“The Universe and Art” work #11: Jules de Balincourt

Cosmic Chaos
2015

In Space Investors, astronauts of various nationalities and races join hands as they drift through space. The title leads us to imagine that these figures are investors, sent into space by their home nations in order to find new things to invest in and speculate on. Cosmic Chaos shows spaceships, satellites and astronauts scattered in disarray across the solar system. In contrast to their light, vibrant tone, both of these works raise serious issues certain to become problems in the “space age” of the future, such as cosmic garbage, and geopolitical concerns arising from space development.
Contemporary narratives with attraction for people are immanent in Jules de Balincourt's works.
