Artist Talk * Japanese-English simultaneous interpretation available

Agatha Gothe-Snape will talk about her new work Oh Window in the exhibition, later joined by artist Tsuda Michiko who collaborated with Gothe-Snape on this new project. Following the talk, approximately 15-minute performance by Gothe-Snape along with artist / musician Anna John will be given in the “MAM Project 023” exhibition space.

Teens’ Program “Meet the Artist” * Conducted in Japanese

An opportunity for teenagers from third-year junior high school age up (ages 15-19) to take in the exhibitions at their leisure, then discuss it in their own words. The participating teens would be viewing the exhibitions, followed by the experience of discussion (partly shared with the “Seniors’ Program” for “N. S. Harsha” exhibition, held on the very same day) on the first day. On the last two days, they are to share their views directly with artists Agatha Gothe-Snape and N. S. Harsha.

“Oh Walk (THE SUN LITTERS THE CLEARING)”: Practice to be held for Oh Window performances

Australian artist Agatha Gothe-Snape, whose new installation Oh Window is now on view at the Museum as “MAM Project 023,” is developing a series of performances out of the installation that will start in May.* In preparation for the performances, Gothe-Snape will conduct a series of perambulations around Roppongi Hills (the very activity that inspired her current work), a practice she refers to as “Oh Walk (THE SUN LITTERS THE CLEARING).” The strolls are open to all, so why not take a casual “Oh Walk (THE SUN LITTERS THE CLEARING)” together with the artist? The Roppongi Hills you think you know is bound to reveal new and different facets.

The 3rd of the performances related to “MAM Project 023” will be given in the exhibition space of Agatha Gothe-Snape’s new installation Oh Window. Performers are Brooke Stamp, Melbourne and Sydney based dance and choreographic artist and Tokyo based musician, Ishizaka Tomoko (How To Count Planets).
