The Great East Japan Earthquake Charity Art Sale on 16 and 17 April

The Mori Art Museum will hold the Great East Japan Earthquake Charity Art Sale on
Saturday, 16 April and Sunday, 17 April to raise money and provide aid for the victims of this disaster.


Talk event of ART for LIFE: Tohoku and Pacific Ocean Earthquake Assistance Program
at Roppongi Hills on Saturday, 26 March.

This sale features a total of about twenty works by some twenty artists who are active throughout the world,including Yoko Ono (centered on a price range from ¥100,000 to ¥500,000). The proceeds from the sale and funds raised at the venue will be donated to disaster victims through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
A charity event, Artists' Action for Japan , will be held on the same days at O-YANE PLAZA in Roppongi Hillsfeaturing the work of a volunteer group mainly consisting of art college graduates. The proceeds from the sale of drawings that these artists create will likewise be sent to the disaster areas.
On Saturday, 26 March, the Mori Art Museum also held an event called the ART for LIFE: Tohoku and Pacific Ocean Earthquake Assistance Program at Roppongi Hills. The event was offered free of charge and featured a series of talks on the topic: the Potential of the Power of Art Today , sales of the works provided by numerous artists, and more. We at the Mori Art Museum fervently pray for the rapid recovery of the disaster areas, and we will make every effort to provide aid for the recovery through the realm of culture and art.

Bearing the question of what can be done through art today, artists, stakeholders in the world of art, and art enthusiasts are coming together asone to hold a charity sale in order to provide aid for the victims of the disaster and foster recovery in the disaster areas. We eagerly invite you to come and appreciate the work of Japanese and foreign artists who have agreed to support our cause, and if you find a piece that appeals to you, to make a purchase. Going forward, art itself will be still more vital for the spirit of the people in the disaster areas.

however, because of the artist talk for the MAM Project 014 which will be held at that time.

Delivery: Insured deliveries made by an express home delivery company--buyers bear the postage costs.
