The exhibition Mariko Mori: All That Shines surveys Mariko Mori’s artistic career spanning more than three decades. For this talk session, Alexandra Munroe and Kataoka Mami, who curated the exhibition, will take the stage to unpack Mori’s practice to date as they examine the work from global, technology, spirituality, light, and syncretic perspectives. In the second half, they will be joined by Mariko Mori herself for a three-way discussion. From her striking debut in the 1990s to the present day, what has Mariko Mori continuously questioned and consistently explored in her work? This session will hone in on her worldview, which transcends boundaries and pursues universal truths.
