The Mori Art Museum is engaged in the “Global Art Professionals Development Project,” which aims to foster mid-career and emerging curators based in Japan.
In 2025, the program will focus on the field of architecture and host a workshop titled “Anatomy of Architectural Curation,” inviting internationally active architecture curators and directors as guest lecturers. Targeting mid-career and emerging architects, curators, and researchers involved in architectural exhibitions, the workshop will provide an opportunity to learn the essential knowledge and theories required to plan and organize such exhibitions. By building networks both in Japan and abroad, the program aims to nurture professionals capable of playing an active role in the field of architectural curation on a global scale. - Eligibility Criteria
- - Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture, urban planning, or art-related field, with 3+ years of professional experience, or possess equivalent qualifications.
- Experience curating at least three exhibitions or public programs (including one in a non-exhibition format such as publishing, online, or film)
- Based in Japan or actively working in Japan
- Fluency in English (workshop will be conducted in English)
- Full participation required (except the optional Oct 9 excursion) - Participation Costs
