Herb & Dorothy
The film Herb & Dorothy will be shown at theatres all throughout Japan, Image Forum in Shibuya, starting in mid-November this year. The Collection of Mr. & Mrs. Vogel, then a postal employee and a librarian respectively, started in 1962 upon their marriage and now consists of over 4,000 pieces centering around works of minimal and conceptual art. The Collection is a very solid one; established over a long period of time and each piece was selected carefully in the course. It indeed is filled with their love towards the artists and the works. The film, by enabling us to take a personal look of the couple, would make us think not only of the meaning of richness of life and the way of living as a married couple, but the importance of being great supporter of art and handing down that to the future generations.
